If you have ever wanted to buy an Island now is your chance. The Idaho department of Lands will be auctioning off Cougar Island, a 14 acre island that is north of Ponderosa Park. The Island has 5 lots with home on one of the lots, as you can imagine the island is off the power grid and you need to have propane delivered and solar panels for your power needs.
The auction format will allow for one bidder to buy the entire island or for individual sales of each of the five lots on the property, the auction will be this summer and the date has not been set for the auction.
The auction format will allow for one bidder to buy the entire island or for individual sales of a set of five lots, the auction company has not yet set an official date.
The Island has been a hot topic in McCall with a private company Boise-based Trident Holdings to swap high-profile Idaho endowment lands around Payette Lake for unspecified timberlands in North Idaho. This was rejected by the State Land Board and since then United Payette has proposed to the Land Board to include Cougar Island as recreation property, with ideas including adding the island to Ponderosa Park.
Now the island will go to the highest bidder, if your interested in learning more about the island, the bidding process or how the State Land Board works just send us a email email@example.com
