Tamarack Resort History and New Plans

Last week Channel 7 in Boise had in depth article on the history of Tamarack from the beginning of the resort, the bankruptcy and the new owners.

The owners are hoping to grow year-round recreation as it continues to pump millions of dollars into revitalizing and reviving the resort.

“It’s really a once-in-a-generation type project,” Tamarack Resort President Scott Turlington said. “It’s mountain, meadow, lake – it’s all-encompassing.”

The rise and fall of Tamarack was well-documented, with the resort declaring bankruptcy twice since it was first announced in the late 1980s.
